Patrick writes songs that have that rare combination of strong lyrics and strong melody. Relix Magazine called him “one of the most captivating songwriters around today.” He is a three-time Ploughshares songwriting contest finalist and has had his songs placed in several independent films. His latest CD, So Beautiful So Blue,Best of 2008 lists and is being played on radio stations all over the country. He continues to tour throughout the northeast building a large and loyal following with his soulful, captivating performances.
As a young boy, Patrick loved the singer/songwriters of the ’70’s, drawn to the works of such artists as Cat Stevens, Paul Simon & James Taylor. Though his first instrument was the drums, he eventually came full circle to follow the path of his childhood heroes. In high school in Sparta New Jersey, he and two classmates formed a band that would ultimately become From Good Homes, a New Jersey based folk/rock band signed to RCA Records in the mid ‘90’s. FGH recorded three CDs with RCA & toured the country sharing the stage with Bob Dylan, Dave Mathews Band, Joan Osborne and many others. In 2000 the band broke up and Patrick moved to Vermont and began his solo career.Patrick started recording So Beautiful So Blue, his fifth solo recording, back in the fall of 2007. Half way through the project he was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo treatment throughout the winter and spring of 2008. On the "good days” he was able to continue working on the CD as well as writing and recording "It's Alright", inspired by this "strange and frightful twist of fate" and the outpouring of love and support from family friends and fans wishing him well and keeping him in their thoughts and prayers. Patrick is now in remission and very happy to be back out playing music again.
