'School's Out, Stars Are In' at The Hudson River Museum

Creative activities and planetarium shows for students on school break. (December Holidays, Winter Break, and Spring Break, Museum open Mon - Fri, 12 - 5 pm).

Journey on the Hudson! The first leg of the Hudson Riverama journey stretches from Lake Tear of the Clouds to Troy, NY.  Learn about the river from its pristine origins in the Adirondacks to the engineered river in Troy.  Discover the trees of the forest, ice flows, and listen to the bugs of the forest and find out how they are all part of the this pristine habitat.

Hands-on activities!

  • Erosion Lab experiments: Simulate erosion and see how fast erosion happens on different kinds of surfaces. Discover erosion's impact on the river, riverfront development, and run-off of pollution into the river.
