The Westchester Symphonic Winds start 2012 off with “A Winter’s Tale.” On President Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, we will perform works which retell or suggest narratives through music, starting with A Lincoln Portrait, by Aaron Copland, with guest narrator, Robert Sherman, from WQXR, New York’s Classical Music Station.
Guest conducting children’s march Over the Hills and Far Away bu Percy Aldridge Grainger will be Montclair State University’s Dr. Shelley Axelson. The Westchester Symphonic Winds also welcome back lyric soprano soloist Kyung Hee Kim, who will be performing Un Bel di from Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini.

Tickets to this concert can be purchased in advance at tickets.tarrytownmusichall.org or at the door. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. Children under 10 are admitted free.
