Westchester Symphonic Winds presents “Choreography”

The Westchester Symphonic Winds will conclude their 24th season on Saturday, May 19 at 8:00pm at the Tarrytown Music Hall. This performance, entitled “Choreography”, is inspired by many types of dance. Assistant conductor Matt Kowalski will conduct Puszta, a set of Hungarian gypsy dances by Jan van der Roost. Guest conducting on this program is Brian Worsdale, Music Director of the NYC ISO Symphonic Band and New York City Big Apple Corps Gay & Lesbian Symphonic Band, who will conduct Arabesque by Samuel R. Hazo. Our guest soloist for this program is TSgt. Joseph Bello, euphonium, a member of the United States Air Force Ceremonial Brass, who will perform Beautiful Colorado, by Joseph De Luca.

Also featured on this program are ABA Symphonic March by John Cheetham; The Solitary Dancer by Warren Benson; San Antonio Dances by Frank Ticheli; and Three Dance Episodes from “On the Town,” by Leonard Bernstein.
