Westchester Symphonic Winds presents “Springtime in New York”

The Westchester Symphonic Winds concludes the season with “Springtime in New York” on Saturday, May 14th at 8:00pm. Featured on this program is Theme and Variations, opus 43a, by Arnold Schönberg. This unusually tonal and powerful work by the world’s most famous serialist composer will amaze you with its sense of swaggering joy and triumph. Selected movements of Serenade No. 10, Gran Partita, by W.A. Mozart will be conducted by our Guest Conductor, Dr. Tom McCauley, Director of Bands at Montclair State University. This is one of Mozart’s most famous and enchanting works for winds.

Our special soloists are SSG Kristen Mather and SSG Erin Bubalo, members of the West Point Band. They will be performing Concerto for Two Clarinets by Franz Krommer, arranged by Barton Green.
