Greenburgh Considering Raising Condo Tax Rates
The town is also considering a new development plan that will bring 100 townhouses and a new park to the community.

GREENBURGH, NY — New townhouses and condominiums in the Town of Greenburgh could be taxed at the same rate as single-family homes if the trustees pass legislation. Condos now pay about one-third less than single-family homes.
According to Supervisor Paul Feiner, the increased taxes would enable the town to avoid a tax-roll hit if Edgemont secedes from town to become a separate village, the Journal News said.
On the upside, the town is weighing a proposal for more than 100 townhouses that would also bring a new 14-acre park to the town.
