Greenburgh Police Investigate Officer for Allegedly Making Racist Facebook Post

Greenburgh Police Off. Brad DiCairano, a 28-year veteran of the force, is being investigated for allegedly making a racist Facebook post, according to The Journal News.
The post, which was brought to Police Chief Chris McNerney’s attention this week, compared African-Americans protesters to baboons. It has since been removed.

“I am very troubled and disappointed by this,” Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney told The Journal News. “Members of this department are held to the highest standard and we take all allegations of misconduct very seriously. I want to assure the members of the public and the men and women of this department that we will investigate this swiftly and appropriately.”
DiCairano, currently on vacation, is scheduled to be interviewed over the incident next week.
