Hastings-on-Hudson School District Shuffles Special Ed, Principal Personnel
If approved by the Board of Education, the new positions will take effect Jan. 4.

Current Hillside Elementary School Principal Laura Sullivan is expected to be named the interim Director of Special Education for the Hastings-on-Hudson School District, Superintendent Dr. Roy Montesano announced Monday.
Montesano intends to formally make the recommendation at the next Board of Education meeting on Dec. 8. If approved, Sullivan will replace interim Director Laurie Bauer, who herself replaced Deborah Augarten who took a position with the White Plains School District. Bauer is stepping down to return to her retirement.
“Laurie has served us extremely well, and I want to publicly thank her for helping us during our transition,” said Montesano in a statement. “Her knowledge and professionalism have set our Special Education Program on a positive course.”
