Irvington Voice Coach Accused Of Sexual Harassment

IRVINGTON, NY — A prominent voice coach who has a studio in and is a resident of Irvington is being investigated by New York City police for allegations of sex abuse. An expose on CNN said 16 women have come forward accusing Peter Rofé of sexual misconduct.

One woman said Rofé once locked the door of his Manhattan studio and persuaded her to remove her shirt to get more into what she was reading, and then, after telling her that her voice was turning him on, she said he exposed himself, CNN.com reported.

Other women across the country have come forward with other stories of sexual harassment.

Through a lawyer, Rofé has denied wrongdoing.
