Taking your four-legged fur baby on a road trip in New York? There’s always a problem when the two-legged members of the family pull over at rest stops: Do you risk leaving your dog in the car when popping in for a pit stop and refreshments, especially on hot summer days?

Now at 10 Thruway rest stops, operated by HMSHosts, you can take advantage of DogSpot crates that are climate-controlled temporary kennels.

And the crates are perfect for all weather conditions, because they have heaters and air conditioning, according to the DogSpot website.

The temporary kennels use UV lights to kill bacteria, viruses and mold between uses and can be viewed remotely using the Puppy Cam on the app.

So now all you have to do is convince your pooch you aren't taking her to the vet.
