Parking Ticket Fines May Increase in Hastings
Hastings' board will vote Tuesday on whether to hold a public hearing about raising fines on parking tickets.
In an effort to increase revenue for the village, Hastings' board of trustees may elect to raise fines on such violations as: an expired parking meter, parking in a handicapped space or blocking a fire hydrant. On Tuesday, June 7, the board will vote on whether to schedule a public hearing on the issue during their June 21 meeting.

Many fines have not been increased since the early 1990's, but some were changed ten years ago and may again be bumped up this year.
