Rivertowns Biz Snippets: Hand-Pressed T-Shirts at Adriana's in Dobbs Ferry

Jillian Renz, owner of the new on Cedar Street, isn't into brand names. 

"I like that the t-shirts we press here are personalized; they are exactly what the customer wants."

Renz has her own heat press and an almost unlimited number of designs she can transfer onto any kind of tank top, t-shirt or sweatshirt.

If you don't find the design you're looking for, you can leaf through her phone book-sized album of pictures and she'll order it for you specially. 

Kids love watching their personalized t-shirts made right in front of them and the activity makes for great birthday parties—especially because the shop is the perfect hangout for a small group of kids.

Though the press is difficult to manipulate, Renz said she's not at all worried about over-exerting her arm by making too many t-shirts.

"If I got tendonitis from making too many shirts, I'd be the happiest person with tendonitis in the world," she said.
