Rivertowns Biz Snippets: (Mysteriously Purple) Taro Frozen Yogurt at Go Greenberry
Todays's feature is Taro frozen yogurt at Go Greenberry in Dobbs Ferry. Have an idea for a snippet? Post it as an announcement!
I love root vegetables and I love frozen yogurt...but do the two really go together?
Yes!
Even before they opened in Dobbs Ferry, everyone who had sampled the yogurt at the first in Scarsdale said, "You have to try the taro frozen yogurt."

What's taro, you ask? Taro is a root vegetable grown mostly in Southeast Asia. And somehow, as a yogurt flavoring, it is perfect!
All the yogurt at Go Greenberry is fat free and low in sugar. Another plus is that they keep the shop very warm—even when it's freezing outside—so yogurt with fresh fruit or candy toppings can be just as tempting in January as it is in July.

According to employee Emily Mazarakes, the original and taro flavors are the two most popular. The original's good, but if you're feeling adventurous, I definitely recommend taking the taro route (pun intended).
(What makes it purple though...?)
Stay tuned for our next 'snippet' tomorrow at noon. Have an idea for a Rivertowns business snippet? and send me the link to feature or email me the idea explaining why you love this particular item. (I'll track it down and get a photo)
