New Principal leads the way for Ardsley High School

Ardsley, NY (April 30, 2015) – Effective July 1, 2015, Rudy Arietta will be leading the way at Ardsley High School. Mr. Arietta replaces Dr. Jim Haubner who is retiring after 14 successful years at Ardsley High School.

Mr. Arietta began his career as a social studies teacher at Nyack High School in 1998, moved into the position of Department Chair in 2007, and was appointed as the Assistant Principal in 2009. He became the Assistant Principal of Ardsley High School in July of 2012.

“We are very excited that Mr. Arietta will continue his tenure at Ardsley High School as Principal. Since he joined our District, he has clearly demonstrated the skills we most value – outstanding abilities as an innovative leader of staff and students, dedication to a positive school culture, expertise in instructional leadership and a deep understanding of the value parents bring as partners in the educational experience,” said Dr. Lauren Allan, Superintendent.

Commenting on Mr. Arietta’s appointment, Dr. Haubner said, “It has been a rewarding and enjoyable 14 years as Ardsley High School Principal and I will miss the students, faculty, and community. However, I will leave knowing that the high school is in great hands with Mr. Arietta who will continue to provide students with a caring environment in which they can thrive and excel.”
