State Police: Westchester Man, 19, Arrested on Narcotics Charges
The arrest occurred following a traffic stop on I-90 near Rotterdam.
A 19-year-old Westchester County man was arrested on narcotics charges Saturday morning, May 23, after state police pulled him over for speeding on I-90 near Rotterdam.
Police allege troopers found two Methylphenidate Hydrochloride pills, and more than 3 grams of marijuana, in the car driven by the man. He was pulled over just before 9 a.m.
According to police, Methylphenidate Hydrochloride is used as a treatment for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and is a Schedule II Controlled Substance.

He was charged with the following:
- Criminally Possession Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Class A Misdemeanor
- Controlled Substance In Non-Original Container, Violation
- Unlawful Possession Marijuana, Violation
The 19-year-old was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Rotterdam Court on June 1 at 5:00 p.m.
