Stuart Horlacher Named Assistant Principal at Ardsley Middle School
Horlacher was a physics teacher at Ardsley High School and has been with the district since 2001.

Former Ardsley High School physics teacher Stuart Horlacher has been named the new Assistant Principal at Ardsley Middle School, the Board of Education announced Thursday.
Horlacher’s appointment takes effect this week, and he replaces Dr. Adam Bronstein who left to become principal at Westlake Middle School in Mount Pleasant.
Employed by the district since 2001, Horlacher also served as an Administrative Intern working closely with the leadership team on initiatives including teacher observations, school building management, scheduling, staff development, and strategic planning. He began his educational career in science at the Cardinal Spellman High School after working in the financial services sector and serving in the United States Marine Corps.

“I am very excited that Stu will be our new Assistant Principal. His proven ability as an instructional leader and his commitment to educating the whole child, make him an ideal candidate,” said School Superintendent Dr. Lauren Allan in a statement. “His experience with the District will also ensure a smooth and seamless transition for both our students and faculty at Ardsley Middle School.”
Added Horlacher, “I have had the honor of being part of the Ardsley learning community for the past 14 years. I am looking forward to my new role and doing everything I can to contribute to the ongoing success of our District and our students.”

Horlacher holds a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware, a Masters in Education from the University of Bridgeport and a Professional Diploma in Educational leadership from Manhattanville College.
He resides in Yorktown Heights with his wife, 5th grade son and 3rd grade daughter.
