Village of Irvington's Phone System Temporarily Down

The Village of Irvington’s government phone system is temporarily down, officials announced Tuesday morning.

When the recently installed system will be operational again was not known, but the hope is that it back online by or before the end of the day.

Officials released the following statement about the situation, and offered alternative ways to reach various departments:

We are currently experiencing phone problems with the new system that was installed. It affects the Recreation Center, the Senior Center, the Library and the Department of Public Works. We are hopeful that these issues will be resolved by days end. Until then, please contact the departments via the email information below:
