The contractor will provide the public safe and reasonable walking and driving access for the duration of the project. During construction, the street will be open to two-way traffic; however, at times trained flaggers will be on site to direct the flow of traffic. Access to driveways or private walks may be restricted at certain points, of which area residents and businesses will be notified in advance. Parking restrictions will be in place at certain times during the work. Motorists are encouraged to pay close attention to the posted signs.
This project includes: full depth reconstruction of the roadway, a new water main & water services, storm sewer upgrades and adjustments, new curb, asphalt pavement, sidewalk replacement and repairs, upgraded traffic and pedestrian signals, street lighting, street signs, pavement markings, landscaping and other streetscape enhancements. Utility contractors will also be relocating and/or upgrading their overhead and underground facilities within the project limits.
