2 Charged With Drug Possession: Rockville Centre Police

The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following incidents for the week ending Nov. 11.

Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident

  • On Nov. 4 at 5:43 p.m., a driver reported her vehicle was struck by a car that left the scene while she was driving on N. Centre Avenue.
  • On Nov. 5 at 9:56 a.m., a driver reported her vehicle was struck by a car that left the scene while it was parked overnight in a lot near S. Centre Avenue.
  • On Nov. 6 at 3:18 p.m., a driver reported her vehicle was struck by a car that left the scene while it was parked in a lot on Merrick Road.

Criminal Mischief

  • On Nov. 5 at 9:42 p.m., a driver reported the bicycle rack attached to his vehicle was damaged while his car was parked in a lot near Merrick Road.
  • On Nov. 9 at 9:40 a.m., a Princeton Road resident reported a second floor window was broken the night before.

Arrests

  • On Nov. 7 at 3:33 p.m., Lee N. Buckles, 54, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic offenses after police say he was observed driving on Maple Avenue.
  • On Nov. 8 at 3:33 p.m., Brian H. Bodkin, 27, of Bellmore, was arrested and charged seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance during an investigation on Lakeside Drive.
  • On Nov. 9 at 2:08 p.m., Dennis L. Jones, 40, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following an investigation on Sunrise Highway.
