2 Molloy College Buses Vandalized: Rockville Centre Police

The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following incidents for the week ending Feb. 24. All charges are merely accusations.

Burglary

  • On Feb. 19 at 12:06 p.m., a resident of Princeton Road reported that several tools worth $810 were stolen from his detached garage.

  • On Feb. 18 at 9:37 p.m., the Molloy College Security Director reported damage that occurred to eight windows of one of the school's shuttle buses while it was parked on school grounds. Estimated cost of damage is $4,000.
  • On Feb. 19 at 9:30 a.m., the Rockville Centre Parks Supervisor reported damage occurred at the RVC Sports Complex. Two handicap signs, a window, a street light and two portable toilets were observed with damage. Estimated cost of damage is $250.
  • On Feb. 22 at 1:45 p.m., a resident of Merrick Road reported her vehicle was damaged while parked on Merrick Road. The rear windshield wiper, passenger side mirror, both rear quarter panels and the hood were damaged with a total estimated cost of $5,000.
  • On Feb. 23 at 12:24 a.m., a Molloy College Security Guard reported damage that occurred to 3 windows of one of the school's shuttle buses while it was parked on school grounds. Estimated cost of damage is $2,000.

Larceny

  • On Feb. 18 at 4:47 a.m., a resident of Rockaway Avenue reported that his 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen from his driveway.
  • On Feb. 19 at 9:44 a.m., a resident of Pine Street reported his cell phone, valued at $250, was stolen from his car while it was parked at his home.

  • On Feb. 19 at 12:56 a.m., Isis M. Sorto Gomez, 33, of West Hempstead, was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, DWI and driving without a license after a traffic stop on Hempstead Avenue.
  • On Feb. 21 at 3 p.m., Carlos Peralta, 51, of Corona, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia during a vehicle stop and investigation on Morris Avenue.
  • On Feb. 24 at 9:55 a.m., Joseph Fuscaldo, 66, of Jamaica, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and criminal possession of stolen property after a license plate reader hit on Sunrise Highway.
