ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The left lane on the eastbound side of Sunrise Highway is blocked between Morris Avenue and North Lewis Place due to flooding, county officials said Monday morning.
Per 511, the flooding blocked the lane at 9:59 a.m., with county officials advising to use caution when driving in the area. County officials did not say when the lane would be reopened.
The flooded lane comes on a morning where Long Islanders have been warned of flash flood possibilities, one where up to 3 inches of rain had fallen by 8:53 a.m.
