2 Men Found Dead After Shooting In Hempstead Village Home, Homicide Police Investigating: PD

Nassau County homicide detectives are investigating a Hempstead home Wednesday after two men were found unresponsive there, police say.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Nassau County police are investigating a Hempstead Village home Wednesday after a pair of men were found unresponsive in the basement of the home and declared dead, police said.

Hempstead police said a 911 call came in at about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday morning to a home on Angevine Avenue with reports of two unresponsive men. Upon arrival, police said the men were declared dead.

Hempstead police said the investigation had been taken over by Nassau County homicide police Wednesday afternoon, while Nassau County police declined to comment, citing the ongoing investigation.

In a statement Wednesday afternoon, County police said the men had been found with fatal gunshot wounds.
