Another Nassau Subway Restaurant Robbed at Knifepoint
The latest robbery occurred Sunday afternoon, police say.

BALDWIN, NY - A man wielding a large knife robbed a Subway restaurant in Baldwin Sunday afternoon as a string of armed robberies across the county continues.
According to police, a man entered the Subway located at 1685 Grand Avenue around 12:53 p.m., approached two female employees and demanded cash from the register while displaying the knife, Nassau Police said.
The employees complied and the man fled on foot heading north on Grand Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries reported and there were no customers inside the restaurant at the time of the robbery.

The robber was described as being about 5-foot-11, with a medium build and of an unknown race. He was wearing a tan colored hooded jacket and a dark partial face mask.
A man also robbed a Subway restaurant in Merrick on Friday. Police have said they were investigating to see if that incident was connected to several other recent robberies in the county.

Four Dunkin' Donuts stores–two in Plainview, and one each in New Hyde Park and East Meadow–and a 7-Eleven in Old Bethpage have also been robbed by a man armed with a knife this month. Police have released a sketch of the man wanted in those robberies.
Police are asking anyone with information on any of the robberies to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
