Let Me Be Your Fitness GPS

Accomplishing fitness goals on your own is next to impossible. This blog is to motivate and encourage you!

I'm Chris Cianciulli and I’ve been in the fitness field for 17 years. A while back it was suggested to me that I start a blog. I dismissed the idea because I didn’t think anyone would have an interest or read it.  Why would people read a blog when they could watch reality T.V. weight loss shows?

Then one night a couple weeks ago, something became apparent to me. It sounds so incredibly cheesy, but I felt unsatisfied and that I had more to offer.

Each week, I see numerous private clients hoping to improve their health and fitness level. They range from teenagers with autism, to stroke victims, to incredibly determined people in their late 80s. I also work with those wanting to “tone up” and look their best, and I enjoy and have fun seeing all of these clients!

But, I realized that I was only able to reach a small number of people in relation to the south shore, north shore, Long Island or in NY. I’m only one person and there are only 24 hours in the day.

Therefore, blogging was the best answer to my question, “How can I reach more people and help them to accomplish their fitness goals?”

With so much information out there, so many celebrity diets, weight loss products, T.V. programs, infomercials, fad workouts, it could make you crazy! So, my blog is going to be dedicated to and intends to help every day regular people.

Every suggestion I make or piece of advice I give will be followed up in my mind, “could I see my mom and dad doing this?”

As I tell my clients: You are the one in the driver seat. I’m just the GPS that tells you how to get there. If you listen to me, you’ll get there faster!

Future topics I plan to cover will range from why losing weight is EASY but keeping it off is HARD, what is a cheat day, if it works for celebrities why doesn’t it work for me, why I hate the term personal trainer, and that’s all I got right now.

I would love your input for topic suggestions, questions, ideas, or any feed back. I’m hoping this blog will inspire people that have given up time and time again, those that are depressed because they feel they have let themselves go, as well as people that need a kick in the pants and a little motivation to break the plateau they may currently be stuck at.
