Vote No May 15

To the good residents of Rockville Centre. Even the 207.00 increase is too much in these economic times. please do not be fooled by Dr johnson and the school board,they have not done this out of the goodness of there hearts. The reality is they knew the residents would never approve an increase over the 2% tax cap. For years we have been ripped off Dr Johnson 400K plus, Bartetts ( a number cruncher) 200K plus and ha host of other asst supt. at well over 100K plus a year. The administration building is loaded with waste and non productivity. The surrounding areas including Garden City have a per student cost well less than ours with great results. I only hear about cuts to student programs, and teacher layoffs,however I never heard of top administration givebacks, increased contribution to benefits. Would it be that bad to increase class size 2-3 students?? Are the before and after school programs really neccessary? If so increase the amount each family pays and collect from everyone. I truly am sorry but I do not want to pay for baby sitting services. The principle at South Side High Dr Burris had pleanty of time to protest the tax cap at my expense, maybe she could teach a class or two. Please call your neighbors and VOTE NO MAY 15. Enough is Enough.
