Circle of Caring Support Group

South Nassau's Circle of Caring Support Group for mothers experiencing sadness, fear, or depression during & after pregnancy.

South Nassau Communities Hospital is at the center of progressive women’s health care, providing a full range of quality maternity services and gynecologic care that is state-of-the-art, comprehensive and compassionate.

As part of this care, South Nassau is proud to offer Circle of Caring, a support group for mothers experiencing sadness, isolation, fear, anxiety or depression during and after pregnancy.

What is the Circle of Caring?
A 12-week long, free self-help/psycho-educational program providing emotional support, education and coping tools for empowerment for women and families experiencing a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder.

Who facilitates the group?
The group is facilitated by experienced, compassionate, caring maternal child nurses and social workers.

What happens after the 12 weeks?
Circle of Caring graduates are encouraged to become involved as advocates/volunteers for perinatal mood disorders, join a mother’s center or group and/or become involved in their community for themselves and their family.
