ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following arrests for the week ending Nov. 16.
All charges are merely accusations.
Larceny

- On Nov. 11 at 8:15 a.m., two Dartmouth Street residents reported the theft of property from their unlocked vehicles which were parked in their driveways overnight.
Investigation
- On Nov. 9 at 11:30 a.m., a N. Centre Avenue resident reported a package he received was missing from the building’s mail room.
Property Damage

- On Nov. 9 at 3:41 p.m., damage was found to an electric pole on Irving Place. Electric Department personnel responded to scene.
- On Nov. 10 at 9:36 a.m., two “No Turn on Red” signs were damaged by a landscaping trailer at Lakeview Avenue/Burtis Avenue.
Leaving the Scene
- On Nov. 9 at 5:40 p.m., a driver reported his car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while he was driving on Peninsula Boulevard.
- On Nov. 9 at 9:10 p.m., two drivers reported their cars were struck by a vehicle that left the scene while they were parked on Sunrise Highway.
- On Nov. 11 at 4:45 p.m., a driver reported her car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while she was driving on Peninsula Boulevard.
- On Nov. 13 at 7:48 p.m., a driver reported her car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while it was parked on Sunrise Highway.
Arrests
- On Nov. 15 at 1:08 a.m., Marc Gumpert, 50, of Long Beach, was arrested and charged driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and vehicle and traffic law offenses while driving on Sunrise Highway.
- On Nov. 16 at 8:43 a.m., Christopher Washington, 31, of Mastic, was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle while driving on Sunrise Highway.
