ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests for thew eek ending Sept. 28. All charges are merely accusations.

Larceny

  • On Sept. 24 at 8:46 a.m., a Harvard Avenue resident reported her vehicle was stolen from her driveway.
  • On Sept. 24 at 7:02 p.m., a N. Kensington Avenue resident reported that his wallet was stolen from his vehicle while the vehicle was parked in his driveway.

  • On Sept. 25 at 8:58 a.m., a delivery truck carrying appliances went off the road on southbound Peninsula Boulevard, through the guard rail, and into Hempstead Lake. There were no reported injuries and New York State Park Police were on scene to assist Rockville Centre officers.

Leaving the Scene

  • On Sept. 23 at 10:29 a.m., a driver reported that his vehicle was struck and damaged by another vehicle that left the scene while driving on Sunrise Highway.
  • On Sept. 26 at 1:54 p.m., a Meehan Lane resident reported that his vehicle was struck and damaged by another vehicle that left the scene while it was parked on Meehan Lane.
  • On Sept. 27 at 11:17 p.m., a pedestrian reported that he was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while he was walking on N. Village Avenue.

Recovered Stolen Car

  • On Sept. 21 at 11:44 a.m., vehicle reported stolen from New York City was recovered, parked and unoccupied, in Municipal Parking Field 9.

Arrests

  • On Sept. 23 at 7:48 a.m., Darryl J. Dunn, 32, of Meehan Lane, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree attempted assault while at his home.
  • On Sept. 26 at 1 p.m., Elis Fernandez, 23, of Valley Stream, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle and several open arrest warrants while on Jackson Avenue in Rockville Centre.
  • On Sept. 26 at 11:55 p.m., Edward O’Connor, 62, of Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with violation of the social host law and an open arrest warrant while at his residence.
  • On Sept. 27 at 4:50 p.m., Miguel Condori, 38, of Flushing, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, third-degree menacing and false impersonation while at a business on Sunrise Highway.
