Hempstead Village Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash: PD
A Hempstead Village man was identified and pronounced dead Monday after a motorcycle crash that took place Aug. 1, police say.
HEMPSTEAD, NY — A 22-year-old Hempstead Village man was pronounced dead nine days after crashing his Kawasaki motorcycle in Hempstead, police said Monday.
Nassau County police said the man was in critical condition last week after the crash, in which the motorcyclist was riding westbound on Front Street and collided with a Toyota Corolla that was turning left onto the street from Courtenay Road.
Police have not announced any arrests or charges stemming from the crash, but said that the Corolla driver remained at the scene after the crash.

As for the Hempstead Village resident who was driving the motorcycle, he was hospitalized immediately thereafter and listed in critical condition. Monday morning, police said he had succumbed to his injuries.
