Long Island Man Hits Hole-In-One At Hole Where He Died Months Before
Dan Lennon died, and was revived, at the 17th hole. Months later, he conquered it.

Rockville Centre resident Dan Lennon was on the 17th hole at the Rockville Links Club last year when he suffered a heart attack. His heart and his breathing stopped, leaving him technically dead. Luckily for him, a man trained in CPR was on an adjacent hole and ran over, and someone arrived with the club's defibrillator.
"I was just playing golf, hit a shot, walked up to the green and collapsed," Lennon told CBS News.
Lennon was revived on the golf course and was taken to a hospital. Two days later, Newsday reported, he underwent a quadruple bypass and eventually made a full recovery.

So full a recovery, that he was back on the links in August. On Aug. 9, back on the 17th hole at Rockville Links, Lennon hit a hole in one.
The witness to Lennon's remarkable shot was Kevin Flynn, a caddie at the club and an Army veteran. Flynn was the man who attached the defibrillator to Lennon's chest and shocked him back to life.

"It was poetic," Flynn told Newsday. "You really can’t make this type of stuff up."
