Man Breaks Into Ex-Girlfriend's Oceanside Home: Nassau Police

The 36-year-old man, who fled with several items belonging to the woman, was picked up a short time later and arrested, police say.

OCEANSIDE, NY — Police arrested a man, accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's Oceanside home, detectives say.

Officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call just after 12:30 a.m. Monday when the woman said her ex-boyfriend gained access without permission to the home and fled after spotting him, according to police.

Police checked the area with the help of their K9 unit and located Brian Maloney, 36, nearby. He was placed under arrest without further incident, detectives say.
