The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following incidents for the week ending Dec. 9.

Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident

  • On Dec. 2 at 2:53 p.m., a driver reported his car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while it was parked on N. Village Avenue.
  • On Dec. 2 at 8:40 p.m., a driver reported his car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while he was driving on N. Village Avenue.

  • On Dec. 3 at 5:16 p.m., Alfredo Vasquez-Garcia, 45, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with second- and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic offenses after police say he was observed operating a vehicle on Sunrise Highway.
  • On Dec. 4 at 10:25 a.m., Wilber Javier Canas, 35, of Rosedale, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic offenses after police say he was observed operating a vehicle on Sunrise Highway.
  • On Dec. 4 at 1:52 p.m., Joseph Benus, 53, of Massapequa Park, was arrested and charged with second- and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic offenses after police say he was observed operating a vehicle on Sunrise Highway.
  • On Dec.6 at 1:12 p.m., Rebecca Lewis, 38, of Merrick, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic offenses after police say she was observed operating a vehicle on Maple Avenue.
  • On Dec. 8 at 3:12 a.m., Nixon R. Rodriguez, 23, of Westbury, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon during a disturbance on Merrick Road.
  • On Dec. 8 at 3:25 a.m., Justin Gonzalez, 23, of Westbury, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct during a disturbance on Merrick Road.
