Man Stole Packages From Multiple Nassau Homes: Police
Police say the man went on a spree on Valentine's Day, stealing packages from seven different homes.
A Hempstead man was arrested on Thursday and charged with stealing packages from several homes in Rockville Centre, as well as other towns in the area.
According to police, a man was caught on a home security cameras stealing packages from several homes and putting them into a maroon Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
After an investigation, police arrested Joseph Ravenell, 26, of Hempstead. Police say that Ravenell stole packages from the following homes, all on Feb. 14:

- 415 Windsor Place, Oceanside
- 302 Cedar St., South Hempstead
- 230 Harvard Ave., Rockville Centre
- 425 Hempstead Ave., Rockville Centre
- 14 Dartmouth St., Rockville Centre
- 18 Terrell Ave., Rockville Centre
Ravenell was charged with seven counts of petty larceny. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
