Police: Rockville Centre Man Forcibly Touched Woman Hired to Work at His House Party

Cops said David Pereira sexually touched a woman at a party Friday night.

A Rockville Centre man faces charges after he forcibly touched a woman at a party in his home, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops said David Pereira, 44, approached a 23-year-old woman and touched her sexually while at a party at his Argyle Place home. The victim had been hired to work at the party that night, police said.

The unidentified woman elbowed Pereira and was able to leave the house without any injuries, cops said.

The incident happened at 11:10 p.m. Friday.

When officers tried to arrest Pereira at 2:55 p.m. Saturday, he fought with detectives, cops said. No injuries were reported.

Pereira was charged with forcible touching and resisting arrest. He will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have been a victim of a similar crime to call First Squad Detectives at 516-573-6154
