Rockville Centre Shooting Under Investigation: Police

Police say a 19-year-old man was shot in the leg Thursday afternoon.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — The Nassau County Police Department is investigating a shooting in Rockville Centre that happened Thursday afternoon.

According to police, Rockville Centre police officers responded to a 911 call for a man shot at 4:50 p.m. on Meehan Lane. When they arrived, the officers found a 19-year-old man who had been shot in his left leg.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of his wound, which was not life threatening.
