The Rockville Centre Police Department reported the following incidents for the week ending Feb. 3.

Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident

  • On Jan. 27 at 3:59 p.m., a driver reported his car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while he was driving on N. Long Beach Road.
  • On Jan. 28 at 1:15 p.m., a driver reported her car was struck by a truck that left the scene while it was parked on Merrick Road.
  • On Feb. 1 at 8:48 p.m., a motorist reported her vehicle was struck by a car that left the scene while she was driving on Merrick Road.

Burglary

  • On Jan. 28 at 12:15 a.m., the owner of a store on Merrick Road reported someone entered through a window and stole cash from the register.

Larceny

  • On Feb. 2 at 9:53 a.m., a recycling company employee reported the theft of used cooking oil from the back of a restaurant on N. Long Beach Road
