LONG ISLAND, NY — New Yorkers will go to the polls on June 28, if they hadn't during the early voting.

The main race on Tuesday's ballot is the Republican primary. Businessman Harry Wilson, one of the challengers, took part in a special edition of "Patch AM."

His reaction to Friday's U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning the 1973 landmark Roe v. Wade: "I think it was expected. New York state already has abortion laws that are broader than Roe v. Wade," Wilson said.

With regards to the other shockwave from SCOTUS, involving carry/conceal guns in public, "A lot of the reaction is overblown," Wilson said. "But at the end of the day, the debate we should be having is making sure we protect the rights of law-abiding citizens."

The most recent poll indicated a tight race between Andrew Giuliani and Congress Lee Zeldin, while Wilson was third.

"The public polls are quite poor," he said. "The more telling thing is Congressman Zeldin showed the world that he thinks this is a two-horse race because he spent all of his time in the first two debates attacking me."
