White Supremacist Featured In Vice Documentary Is Long Island Native

Christopher Cantwell was the main subject of a Vice News documentary about the protests and violence in Charlottesville. Though the white supremacist now lives in New Hampshire, he is a Long Island native.

In the documentary, Cantwell says he is one of the organizers of the Charlottesville protests. He can be seen marching with torch-wielding protesters on the UVA grounds, as well as marching through the streets of Charlottesville.

According to News 12, Cantwell grew up in Stony Brook and has a Suffolk County criminal record that includes weapons and DWI charges.

Cantwell runs an alt-right call-in show called "Radical Agenda," where he hosts other alt-right and racist guests. He is a self-proclaimed fascist, and, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, has called for the removal of blacks, Jews and non-white immigrants from the country. He has also called for the assassination of police officers and government officials.

In the Vice News documentary, Cantwell can be clearly seen marching and chanting, "Jews will not replace us." You can watch the documentary here.

Days after the Charlotesville protests, Cantwell posted a video to YouTube that went viral, in which he is seen crying about being scared to go outside of his hotel.

"I think chemical and biological weapons can do a great deal of good for mankind," Cantwell wrote in a Facebook post earlier this year. "Releasing nerve gas or some kind of lethal virus into a left wing protest could prepare the bodies for physical removal without making a big scene for the cameras or destroying anything of value."

Cantwell has recently had nearly all of his social media profiles deactivated by the sites that run them, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
