You Can Help Oceanside Teen Who Was Hit By Car
Lara, a 14-year-old freshman at Oceanside High School, was walking to school when she was hit, and suffered serious trauma.

Last Friday, while walking to school, a 14-year-old Oceanside High School freshman was hit by a car. She survived, but suffered massive trauma. Now, her family is turning to the community for help.
Lara is going to need intensive care and rehabilitation. To help mitigate the costs, her family created a GoFundMe page to raise money. So far, in less than a week, the community has raised nearly $55,000 for Lara and her family.
"There will be many expenses that we cannot even anticipate at this point," her family wrote. "Donations of any amount are appreciated and will be used to help our family as we continue adjust to this life-changing event. We cannot begin to thank you for all your love, support and prayers."
