• Rockland appoints Nielsen as interim school superintendent (scdemocratonline.com) — Families in the merged Livingston Manor–Roscoe Rockland Central School District should know that Director of Special Services Lauren Nielsen has been appointed interim superintendent through at most August 31 while a permanent leader is sought. The board approved her stipend-funded dual role as the district navigates budget pressures and its still-new merger of the former Roscoe and Livingston Manor districts.
   

• More than 1,700 students earn Spring 2026 President's List Honors at Hudson Valley Community College (riverreporter.com) — Roscoe residents can celebrate that Anastasia Niforatos of Roscoe earned a spot on Hudson Valley Community College’s prestigious Spring 2026 President’s List, recognizing a GPA between 3.5 and 4.0. The college honored more than 1,700 students across upstate New York for their academic achievements.
