Crews are replacing aging breakers, switches, and a main bus, and using an amphibious āFat Truckā to move workers and materials across soggy rights-of-way. The project aims to speed restoration times and reduce environmental impact in and around Rotterdam.

ā¢ Rotterdam woman convicted in $28K SNAP, HEAP fraud case (dailygazette.com) ā A Rotterdam woman has been convicted of multiple felonies for fraudulently obtaining more than $28,000 in SNAP and HEAP benefits, following an investigation that included a search of her Rotterdam home. Prosecutors say she hid income from a cleaning business, rental property, and her husbandās earnings over several years. She faces sentencing in Schenectady County Court on August 7. Ā Ā Ā
ā¢ Woman charged with DWI after rollover crash in Rotterdam (wnyt.com) ā A recent early-morning rollover crash on Guilderland Avenue near Vischer Avenue in Rotterdam sheared a telephone pole and led to DWI charges for a Schenectady woman. Police say she showed signs of impairment, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Albany Medical Center, and has been issued traffic tickets. Neighbors may notice damage and utility repairs in that area. Ā Ā Ā
