Trailside Nature Museum at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Route 35 and 121 South, Cross River – (914) 864-7322

Changing the Landscape – 1 p.m.
Beavers have moved in and caused some flooding at the reservation. Meet at Kimberly Bridge to follow the stream and learn all about these amazing animal engineers.

For the Love of Bees: Teachings of the Beehive – 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Learn about the teachings of the beehive and how they offer a critical message for survival of both species. Learn how to prepare your bees for the winter months. Presented by beekeeper Margaret von der Meden.

Beginning Fall Migration Bird Walk – 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Bring binoculars to identify and learn about our feathered friends that are on the move.

Farmers Market – 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Shop more than 20 unique vendors offering fresh produce, cheese and a variety of local items.

Archaeology Day – 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Celebrate local archaeology with Lower Hudson Chapter New York State Archaeological Association. Meet and watch an “olde Dutch” wampum maker at work; discover lime kiln history with archaeologist Eugene Boesch; see the manufacture of lime from oyster shell; get your hands dirty digging while learning the technique and science of archaeology.
