2017-18 School Calendar For Blind Brook-Rye District

RYE, NY — You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2017-18 school year in the Blind Brook-Rye Union Free School District.

• First day of school: Sept. 5
• Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Sept. 21-22
• Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 9
• Election Day, Half-day Superintendent’s Conference Day, early dismissal: Nov. 7
• Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 10
• Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 23-24
• Holiday recess: Dec. 25-29 (school resumes Jan. 2)
• Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan. 15
• Winter recess: Feb. 19-23
• Half-day Superintendent’s Conference Day, early dismissal: March 16
• Spring recess: March 30-April 6
• Memorial Day weekend: May 28
• Last day of school: June 22
