2017-18 School Calendar For Rye City District

RYE, NY — You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2017-18 year in the Rye City schools.

• Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 4
• First day of school: Sept. 5
• Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Sept. 21-22
• Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 9
• Election Day, Superintendent’s Conference Day: Nov. 7
• Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 10
• Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 23-24 (early dismissal Nov. 22)
• Holiday recess: Dec. 25-Jan. 1 (early dismissal Dec. 22, school resumes Jan. 2)
• Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan 15
• Superintendent’s Conference Day: Feb. 16
• Mid-winter recess: Feb.19-23
• Spring recess: March 30-April 6
• Memorial Day weekend (school closed): May 28
• High school graduation: June 16
• Final day of school: June 21
