Rye Students Give Cheer

Rye Middle School students came out in droves to celebrate the holidays by giving to kids in need. Over 74 RMS students came to the holiday party that was thrown to benefit Second Chance Ministries at 45 Traverse Avenue.

The goal was to make sure each child's holiday wish was fulfilled, and the students of Rye Middle School collected over $4000 worth of gifts to make that happen. Santa made an appearance; if you look closely, you'll see he bears a striking resemblance to RMS teacher Joe DeRuvo!

Rye Middle School administration said, "Gracious thanks go out to the kids of Reach Out Rye, the parents and the faculty members who supported the project, with special thanks to Joe DeRuvo, Francesca Miller, April Colarusso, Katrina Smith, and Kim Tamalonis who all lent a hand on Sunday to make the party a success."
