Blind Brook Schools Calendar 2016-17
The new school year begins in less than a month. Here are dates you need to know.
You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2015-16 school year in the Blind Brook School District.
- First day of school: Sept. 1
- Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 5
- Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Oct. 3-4
- Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 10
- Yom Kippur (school closed): Oct. 12
- Election Day, Superintendent’s Conference Day (school closed): Nov. 8
- Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 11
- Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 24-25 (early dismissal Nov. 23)
- Holiday recess: Dec. 26-30 (school resumes Jan. 3)
- Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan. 16
- Presidents Day (school closed):
- Winter recess: Feb. 20-24
- Superintendent’s Conference Day (school closed): March 17
- Spring recess: April 10-14
- Memorial Day weekend: May 29
- Last day of school: June 23
