Blind Brook Student Musicians Receive Honors At Festivals
The festivals were in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The Blind Brook Music Department is pleased to announce the following accomplishments by our performing groups this spring:
On Friday, March 24 the Blind Brook High School Wind Ensemble participated in the 2017 WorldStrides Onstage Performance Series in Boston, MA where they were adjudicated and participated in a workshop with a college professor of music. The Wind Ensemble received a Silver rating as well as the Ovation Award for Spirit and Citizenship, and also had the opportunity to attend a Boston Symphony Orchestra Concert and tour the city of Boston for the weekend.
On Friday, May 12, the Blind Brook Middle School Select Band and Select Chorus performed at the 2017 Trills and Thrills Music Festival in Connecticut where they both received Superior ratings for their performances. Additionally, the two ensembles earned the highest numerical ratings of any groups in Blind Brook's history. Following the performance, the students spent the day with other festival participants at Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT.
