Summer Stargazing Event in Rye for Families with Young Children

On Saturday, June 25 at 6:00 PM, the Jay Heritage Center will present “Summer Stars in the Meadow,” a night of fabulous food provided by Pizza Luca of Westchester, live music, and stargazing fun. From the Jay meadow, guests will have the opportunity to see the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars through a telescope.

Kendall is a professor of Astronomy and William Paterson University and a board member of the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York. Since 2008, he has led the Inwood Astronomy Project, presenting more than 200 stargazing events in Manhattan.

Kendall has appeared on multiple occasions in The New York Times, CBS New York, Fox 5 NY News, and WYNC Radio. In addition, he was regularly featured on The Weather Channel's "Wake Up With Al" and "AMHQ.” Kendall is known for his efforts to expand public appreciation for astronomy.
