Why are you seeking this office?
To continue the excellent work we have accomplished for the last 8 years and to keep the Town moving forward.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidate(s) seeking this post?
We believe that government can work for the people and improve their lives while our opponents believe that government should do as little as possible.
What is the single most pressing issue facing your constituents and what do you intend to do about it?
Maintaining our quality of life for all and continuing infrastructure improvements both Physically and Fiscally.
How would you address the affordable housing issue in the community?
The Town of Rye supports and encourages the County housing policy under our current leadership.
How would you protect the drinking water in the community?
Clean drinking water is a fundamental human right. The Town has supported efforts to maintain clean and safe water near Westchester County Airport. In addition, the Town has been at the forefront of environmental sustainability, for example, by going "all electric" and maintaining Tree City USA status.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
In addition to our continued efforts to improve Town infrastructure in a financially responsible manner, we will continue to advocate for diversity and inclusion in all of our policies and programs.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have been successful in this position for 8 years. For example, we have upgraded our parks and infrastructure with more than $15 Million in grant money and digitized our tax collection, assessment and vital statistics processes to make them run more efficiently.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
"If you don't want to be criticized, say nothing, do nothing, and be nothing." (Aristotle)
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
We have accomplished a great deal in the last 8 years, but there is more to do and we would like to continue.
