RYE BROOK, NY — A carting license that serves Rye Brook and Pelham has been suspended by the Westchester Solid Waste Commission. Both villages have been told they must find new contractors.

A state judge last month ordered New Rochelle businessman Joseph Spiezio to pay $3.2 million for his failure to pay for what his company owed for Can Man Carting, a Connecticut firm he took over in 2013, the Journal News reported.

The commission cited Spiezio's failure to report the judgment as required as the reason for the suspension.
